Golden oldie roots artist Morgan Clark is about to hit the Nashville music scene with her new self-titled debut EP. Her reputation for a wide variety of fun original music and eclectic sound pays homage to the current generation's seemingly genre-less rising stars. Raised in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire, Morgan Clark was fortunate to grow up in a small tourist town surrounded by close friends and family. Morgan claims her passion for singing was cultivated by her parents and the family business, Clark’s Trading Post. At a young age Morgan began singing in school and church choirs and took part in solo vocal contests around the state. Talent show appearances helped to build the young star's confidence, where she routinely performed “Annie Get Your Gun”. Numerous grand prizes later, family and friends began to recognize that there was something special growing in Morgan Clark. Morgan Clark sites her home grown musical influences as Buddy Holly, ABBA, The Mamas and The Papas, Frankie Valli, and The Supremes. "I was so lucky to spend hot summer days cruising in my mom’s 1956 T-bird with the top down! We had the volume turned up and the Beach Boys cassette would echo through the valley as my mother, sister and I would sing along at the top of our lungs!". Morgan also cherishes the days her father would crank up the old Victrola, listen to a ‘78 RPM Harry McClintock record and break into song and dance. It is the peculiar stories, the unique lyrical content and wondrous sounds of her youth, that Morgan Clark attributes her very own distinct songwriting talents. As Morgan continues her melodic journey in Nashville, TN she promises to pursue her dream without ever forgetting the memorable experiences in her young life. Morgan's self titled debut EP was released in April 2017 and was produced by Leo Roriz. The release includes 5 studio recorded tracks captured in Nashville, TN. Morgan plans to submerge herself in the local music scene and share her unique style of music through live performances and community oriented activity. As a top four finalist in the 2017 Nashville Rising Star series, it seems she has a promising start!
