Captured was formed in the summer of 1993 as Escape The Journey Tribute. From that year through 1999 Escape traveled nationwide and paid tribute to one of rock history's most loved bands performing for tens of thousands of fans. Even today it is still known as the original and best Journey tribute band to ever exist. In 1999 Escape broke up and the world suddenly was filled with multiple Journey tribute acts (82 total) trying to fill in the void where Escape left off..... Then.... In 2010, the band reformed to once again take it's premier live show to the faithful Journey fans everywhere. After packing venues for 6 years with it's high energy shows, the band took some well deserved time off to refresh its show. During that time some internal changes had to occur resulting in a revived band and an even better show! Today, after 22 years, the band formerly know as Escape has rebranded: Captured the Journey Tribute is born. Captured continues to recreate the magic of a Journey concert like no one else can. The band covers the music with a note-for-note accuracy that’s second to none and performs each show with the high-energy excitement of a real Journey concert as well as visually recreating the essence of early 80’s Journey! Focusing on the ‘Steve Perry era’, Escape covers all the hits from ‘Lights’ and ‘Wheel In The Sky’ to ‘Separate Ways’ and ‘Be Good To Yourself’ including occasional surprises for the die-hard Journey fans.
