Drawing influence from pop, soul, and electronic music, the Edmonton-based duo X62 seamlessly blends together elements of each genre to create musically versatile and lyrically compelling songs.Their sound is emphasized by intricate horn lines, gospel backup vocals, and energizing synth tracks. With lyrics that tow the line between deeply personal and profoundly universal, audiences are inclined to engage with the duo’s live and recorded performances.

X62 is the blend of two artists with years of combined writing and performing experience.The band writes and produces their own music,
but are also on demand song writers and producers for various soul, pop, hip-hop, and folk artists across Canada.

In August of 2018, the duo released their second single titled “DOWN” gaining attention across Canada. Additional production for the single was provided by Robbie Townsend of Townhouse Studios and mixed by Brad Smith of Velveteen Audio.

X62 placed first in the 2018 SAMU Showdown competition, and were showcased at multiple Edmonton Festivals in the fall of 2018. In the spring of 2019, X62 will be attending theArtist Development program, at Canadian’s Music Incubator, in Toronto, Ontario.
