Gabriele Ribis

Winner of Spoleto International Competition and member of Academy Arena di Verona, Mr Ribis, appeared in major italian opera houses like Opera di Roma, Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro la Fenice di Venezia, Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Arena di Verona, Teatro Massimo di Palermo and others, both in leading and supporting roles.
He started his international career performing the role of Guglielmo in last Giorgio Strehler’s production of Così fan tutte in Spain, Germany, Italy, Japan, Greece and Russia. He is regular guest at Opéra Montecarlo and invited in important houses as Zurich Opera, Israeli Opera Tel Aviv, Prague National Theatre, Maribor Slovenian National Theatre etc. More leading roles include Don Giovanni title role, Danilo in The Merry widow, Belcore in The Elixir of Love, Figaro in The Barber of Sevilla, Dandini in La Cenerentola, Escamillo in Carmen.
As concert performer he sang Carmina Burana, Ein Deutsches Requiem and some programs of german lieder. He is often also requested for contemporary repertoire and premiered twice the role of Mamoud in The death of Klinghoffer by John Adams in Italy and Czech Republic.
