With courage, creativity and love of improvisation and experimentation the three musicians Julie Falkevik Tungevåg, Ellen Brekken and Elisabeth Nesset give us FALKEVIK.

The musicians come from different backgrounds, and together they create a fascinating and versatile sfere. Elisabeth (drums) from the 70´s rock-era with bands such as Phone Joan, Ellen (Upright and el bass) from the jazz-rock-tradition with bands like Hedvig Mollestad Trio and Julie (piano, effects and vocals) from the pop-world working with acts like Ine Hoem and Veronica Maggio.

Together the trio makes music that maybe can be put between Esbjorn Svendsson Trio, Bad Plus, Tori Amos and Fiona Apple, with the nordic jazz touch mixed with quirky and elegant pop melodies.
