About Rapture 4D

Bursting into the grime scene spotlight in his teens after producing Grim Sickers and MIK’s Lord of the Mics VII hit “200 Bags”, Rapture 4D’s momentum has only snowballed ever since. The 21-year-old Glaswegian has gone on to spread his gleaming-but-gritty sound far and wide, collaborating with legends of the game including P Money, Flirta D, Plastician, and Stormin on some of their boldest innovations to date. Being dubbed by DJ Mag as a top 5 producer in grime at the moment is only a small testament to what Rapture has achieved within a short amount of time. In addition to this, he had taken part in and won the renowned grime producer tournament - Beatboss 5. You can find much of his music on golden labels such as Terrorhythm, Scotch Bonnet, Slimzee’s Slimzos Recordings and Astral Black. Working with Redbull a number of times, he featured on the Red Bull Mixtape Vol.3, curated by Shadow Child, and additionally went on to produce Red Bull Studio’s “Beatroots” project, collaborating with grime’s new school - and old school heavyweights. Rapture recently went B2B with Spooky for the launch night of the Red Bull mixtape, packing out the venue to max capacity, with all of this just being the first few years of his young career.

Also a gifted DJ and former Radar Radio host, Rapture’s past bookings include numerous iconic set’s with grime Godfather, Wiley, at Sub Club and high-profile headline appearances at NASS Festival, Eskimo Dance and Woodlands Dance Festival. He has additionally played across Europe in lineups alongside Giggs, AJ Tracey, President T, CasISDead and many more. When he’s not crafting music himself, he also runs his own record label, Plasma Abuse, which explores the grey area between grime and wave music – pairing striking and surreal instrumentals with vivid, dystopian aesthetics.

With a lot of support coming from the likes of BBC Radio 1 + 1xtra, Mixmag, Kiss FM, Complex, Red Bull Music and countless legends within the scene already under his belt, and a star-studded debut album on the horizon in 2020, the future looks bright for this Scottish grime powerhouse.
