About Jaecy Bells
Jaecy Bells is a 21 year old musician and interdisciplinary artist based in Regina. Drawing inspiration from T. S. Elliot to Nina Simone, Professor Longhair to Billy Joel, she weaves elegant lyrics and fills them out with jazzy piano and a voice full of soul. A multi-instrumentalist, she performs using live looping to create a truly unique solo act.

Jaecy has played multiple times on Global Regina and opened for soul superstar Nuela Charles at the All Folk’d Up Music Festival in July of 2017, with her debut single, “Firing Squad”, dropping the same day.

She recorded a 7-song EP with acclaimed Saskatchewan blues artist, Scott Pettigrew, featuring members from Regina bands like Dalton Lam and Justin Hauck. This self-titled release has sounds of jazz and blues, but her exceptional vocals really root the genre in soul.
