About Cannon Da Assassin
Rashida Cannon is a native of Baton Rouge Louisiana. Child of Jeanette Cannon and Charles Robinson. reseda Cannon grew up under the music influences of Tupac Lauren hill scarface and juvenile. Cannon developed a special gift to host events, promote, M.C., and songwrite overtime which left a major impact the BR seen. She later became a part of other associated acts such as Lady assassins, wild child, and dream team. On her way to becoming a future underground Baton Rouge legend she open up for big names such as Juvenile , Max Minnelli, Choppa, Level, Young Ready, Ghetto Twinz,, Miss. Tee just to name a few. Cannon also performed on bigger platforms such as the Summer Fest, Bottom Bash, and landed a grand freestyle on a segment of I love Baton Rouge television show.
Things took a dramatic change in Cannon's life as she was incarcerated in 2004 – 2006. Three years after that Cannon was stabbed in 2009 for a miss understanding, by the grace of God she survived although the stabbing disabled the left side of her face permanently, she did not let that hold her back though. she turned a major negative into a major positive, and came back like never before. “She hit the ground running”, dropping her mix-tape entitled “Gudda / Soul that really impacted her Community.
Canon is responsible for bringing many Baton rouge underground artist to the forefront by forming the most influential open mic events in the city along with DJ PK1. Go DJs crowned her Cannon the assassin queen of the mic and gave her the name go MC Cannon. A brief resume of the open mics that MC Cannon presented to the city of Baton Rouge was house of blues in 2007 through 2009, House of Diamonds 2009 through 2011, DJs Club Elite 2010 through 2011 clicks 2008 through 2010, Club Empire 2012 through 2014, club rags 2013 through 2014 around the same time she form the "Duffy Committee" and is currently working on Club MVP.
Cannon is known for her hard-core style which is mixed with a R&B feel, fierce and fiery delivery that is unforgettable And topped with a electrifying performances that are jaw-dropping. Now Cannon reaches thousands and thousands of fans all over and now in the process of working on her new project releasing in 2017.
