Sequoia Shade

Sequoia Shade started out in the winter days of 2009, formed by former members of Indaba (Ben Steyaert), Sue Basso (Wouter Van Sundert) , Underwater Paradise, Time Decides (Gunther Gaumann), By All Means (Kristoff Dockx) and Johnny Unstoppable (Kenneth Jansens), Sequoia Shade consists of friends who share the same passion for music, who want to achieve a new, fresh sound in the Belgian hardcore/metal scene. In 2010 they released their first Promo CD. After the release their drummer and bass player left the band to focus on other projects. With no drummer or bass player in sight they started working on new songs. Until they found their current drummer, Ben Van Peteghem (Sadistic Embrace, Slachtzwijn). With him in the picture the music evolved more into metal still keeping the metalcore feeling in mind. After a year of writing new material and preparing to go into the studio they decided to part ways with their vocalist. With still no bass player in mind Michael De Plukker came to the rescue. Being an awesome guitar player and shredder he will try to pimp the music up with some epic solo's and make it sound a lot heavier with his 7-string. Currently the band is working on the songs to make the new guitar fit in and looking for a new singer! Working on new music, merch and everything in between. More info coming real soon!!
