LUMBERJACKS

In a world where every artist of every genre is writing deeply philosophical & complicated music, rises LUMBERJACKS, a band that has been bringing their own spin to a scene that tends to take itself entirely too seriously for close to 10 years now. With straight forward jams like "Live Life", a song about the closeness of friends & the desire & strive to have fun & live despite the hardships we all endure to "Mr. Pink" a song dedicated to our favorite 'professional' about the un-importance of tipping in a capitalist society, show the diversity in which they're able to shift into without being too preachy or didactic.We believe in our roots as much as the burgeoning & ongoing-ly creative independent music scene. Our live show environment has been known to be unpredictable & sometimes even dangerous & in this, is where LUMBERJACKS jump off of their now 4 records deep discography ("Live Life", "Seriously, Not Serious", "Today, I Didn't Think", & the soon to be released "Level 10!" with a tentative date of January 2013) & into what we view as the most important part of our musical careers. While we have been around for some time now (you will almost always see at least ONE LUMBERJACK at a show at any given time) we have played shows & done some minimal touring all without the help of a record label or even a manager. Albums have been self-recorded & the packaging & promotion as well as merchandise have all been D.I.Y.. If anyone knows the Santa Clarita Valley, they know, it's not a place that you are well-recieved for standing out. With non-existent clubs, strict religious atmosphere & a musical scene so far underground that even some bands with potential break-up on the sheer fact of having no hometown support or venues to play. Working hard to change this & being one of the few original SCV bands still active, the hope is to have a scene here to be proud of (again, remember Catch Your Breath? Charged? INFEST?) we would love to tour with your band & show you what we're all about as well as putting our little Podunk town on the map. As the new year approaches, we have big plans for some big changes so keep a lookout in 2013! Thank you for all of the support over the years, if not for you guys this wouldn't be fun anymore & we love you all for being as equally passionate about the punk rock & hardcore scenes as we are!
