About DKTR N9NE
The Austin, TX based multi-hyphenate musician got his start songwriting in Los Angeles in 2009 working alongside heavy hitters like Stacy Barthe (Beyonce) and Dem Jointz (Dr. Dre) to name a few.
His journey as the artist known as DKTR N9ne started in 2015 with a release of a song called "Mean Girls". It was during the Hype Machine era, the debut single was featured on domestic and international blogs like RnBass, and Acid Stag. Soon after he made the transition from LA to Austin, and once he arrived in Austin he released a flurry of loosie's produced by himself or Meltycanon (Father/Adult Swim) while the music was received well by his audience, it was necessarily critically acclaimed or noteworthy.
It became ever so apparent the only way N9ne could cut through the noise he would need to add the live music element to the performance aspect of his brand. He has befriended Guitarist by the name of Bob Flaco (Netherhour) and Keyboardist from Lafayette, LA name JaRon Marshall (Black Pumas) they formed a band called Donny Jewelz. Their Opening show was during SXSW 18' at a mezcal bar on 7th St called Las Perlas. Shortly after N9ne received a Mayoral Proclamation from the City of Austin, marking his birthday Feb 6th Dktr N9ne Day in Austin, TX.
