About Dave Camlin
‘The love-child of James Taylor and Tim Booth.’ (Ed Boyd, Lunasa), Dave is a versatile singer and song writer and a dynamic and seasoned performer in a range of folk, rock and jazz styles, and in various guises:
* Solo;
* The Coast Road - a collective of varying size to suit the occasion;
* Mouthful, a 4-piece virtuoso ‘a capella’ group;
* Human Music, an 8-piece vocal group
and in various other projects including appearances in Helen Chadwick’s ‘Dalston Songs’ at the Royal Opera House in 2008 and 2010. He also leads Sing Owt! and Voicebeat community choirs, is Head of Higher Education & Research at Sage Gateshead, and senior lecturer on the organisation’s degree programmes.
