About Lucía Jackson -Artist
Singing Career

At age 27, daughter of jazz guitarist Ron Jackson, Lucia Jackson began her music training in Madrid, Spain. She started singing at age 10. At age 13 Lucia studied voice and piano at the prestigious Escuela de Musica Creativa on scholarship. After finishing high school, she moved to her birthplace NYC to pursue her dream as a professional dancer and jazz singer. Since coming to NYC Lucia has sung with the Bud Maltin Orchestra, Ron Jackson, Marty Schwartz, Art Lillard Big Band among many others all over New York City and the tri-state area, playing at venues such as Iridium, Zinc Bar, Hillstone, Flatiron Room, Showman’s Jazz Club, and ShapeShifter Lab amongst others. She has also performed at events for notable organizations and foundations such as the Clinton Foundation.
Lucia’s debut album “You And The Night And The Music” is out now on Roni Music record label and is available here https://store.cdbaby.com/cd/luciajackson and EVERYWHERE! She successfully raised $15,000 in production money from her large fan base to record her debut album last year with a crowdfunding campaign through Indiegogo.com. Lucia is scheduled on an extensive album release tour throughout Russia produced by tenor saxophonist Yaacov Mayman in November 2018.

Dancing Career

Lucia Jackson began her dance training in Madrid, Spain. She attended the Professional Dance Conservatory of Madrid, where she learned ballet and flamenco. At the age of 18 she returned to her birthplace New York, after being accepted into The Ailey School where she completed a Certificate in Dance and was also awarded a Scholarship Level 1 for one more year. Lucia has had the opportunity to perform Memoria at City
Center and Revelations Cast of 50 at Lincoln Center with the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre. In 2015 she danced with Dardo Galletto Dance at the prestigious Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival, inside/out stage. In 2017, she was part of the production BLIND by Tango for All, performing at BAM Fisher.
Lucia is a currently a member of FJK Dance, a unique mix of ballet and ballroom, Middle Eastern and jazz company led by Fadi J. Khoury and his partner Sevin Ceviker. Recently she went on a two month tour in China with FJK Dance.
