About Slow Fall

Founded in 2016 in Oulu, Northern Finland, Slow Fall delivers a heavy dose of pure Finnish melancholy. The band has found their sonic landscape in embodying energies from fiercely aggressive metal to even folkish acoustic ambiences, lyrically pondering over the beauty of the darker side of life. As in Finland, this band is all about contrasts: clean and harsh vocals, wonderfully wistful melodies, complex yet groovy rhythms, mellow soundscapes and face-melting musicianship - all dressed in the prestige of falling leaves amidst heaviest rains of autumn. Band members' most loved music echoes in Slow Fall; giants like Opeth, Children Of Bodom, Sentenced, Swallow The Sun and Amorphis are a driving force behind the band's self-expression.

Slow Fall's endeavors to date have resulted in two full-length albums; Beneath the Endless Rains (2020, Inverse Records) & Obsidian Waves (2023, Out Of Line Music). Slow Fall's first European tour will happen in spring 2024, followed up with several festivals in 2024 and 2025. The next works are about to see daylight also in 2024.

Slow Fall wants to leave their mark to the prestigious heritage of Finnish metal music. In the end, everything comes down to writing music that drives passion and purpose in this chaotic reality. The band wants to grow and cherish their fanbase to the point where they could catch friendly faces among new ones wherever their path may lead. Right now they are going full ahead and it feels like this ride has just begun.
