About Aaron Bordas
You might not expect an artist as humble as Aaron Bordas to have converted so many to house music. Referred to as a “hometown hero” by many of his peers, the Denver DJ and producer has been a driving force in the city’s music scene for nearly a decade.
An original in every sense, Aaron has developed a musical style that’s hard to dissect. He brings to the dance floor a seductive blend of house and deep tech that mesmerizes the crowd and always leaves them wanting more. His magnetic personality radiates from his DJ sets, captivating fans both on and off the decks.
Aaron’s love for music started at a young age, but it was when he was in his early 20s, listening to deadmau5’s Random Album Title, that he realized its transformative effects. Ignited by his new-found passion, Aaron started the journey of cultivating his own sound and taught himself how to mix with the help of some seasoned friends in the industry.
After spending countless hours either in the studio or out at events, Aaron performed his first show at Cervantes’ Other Side, Denver’s legendary music venue. Although he was billed on a lineup otherwise geared towards dubstep diehards, Aaron won the crowd over with an engaging mix of nu-disco and vocal deep house.
He made an impression to say the least. And it wasn’t long afterwards that Aaron made his way up in the Mile High circuit. Today he’s played local mainstays like Beta Nightclub, Club Vinyl and Boulder’s Fox Theater, as well as one-off gigs throughout SoCal and the Bay Area. Besides sharing the stage with a number of house heavyweights such as Duke Dumont, Claude VonStroke and Lee Burridge, he’s performed at the 2015 and 2016 installments of Denver’s premiere house and techno festival, Cloak & Dagger.
Aaron also made his long-awaited debut as a producer in 2016. Titled “As We Are,” his inaugural release juxtaposed mechanical tech house with warm tribal elements. He followed it up in 2018 with two tracks called “11:16” and “Memory Lapse” in collaboration with Clark Smith of Dynohunter. Aaron continues to channel his progressive take on house and techno into original singles that he releases in each edition of a monthly mix series called Reason.
Forever a student of music, Aaron’s persistent drive to constantly improve keeps his sound timeless, resonating with his audience long after the show is over.
