About Kim Gravatt Music
Kim Gravatt is a classically-trained musician who has been immersed in the Baltimore and D.C. scenes for nearly 10 years. She has performed and released albums with several projects including psychedelic rock band Fractal Cat, funk-rock band Subtle Hustle, and alternative rock band Slow Lights. Playing the flute and saxophone, singing, and playing a variety of percussion instrument, Kim has graced the stage at venues such as the 8x10, Ottobar, Windup Space, Gypsy Sally's, and Horseshoe Casino.
Kim has been writing and collaborating with the many wonderful musicians around Baltimore, fusing funk with hip hop with country, and so on and so forth. She takes on lead singing in her newest project, Sonic Spell. Though each performance has its own energy, you can expect sultry vocals, emotionally-charged lyrics, and an array of wind instruments.
Kim draws inspiration from legends Jethro Tull, The Meters, The Greyboy Allstars, and Led Zeppelin, as well as regional artists Big Something and Moon Hooch.
Kim has been writing and collaborating with the many wonderful musicians around Baltimore, fusing funk with hip hop with country, and so on and so forth.
