Father Sky Mother Earth

For a few years the duo had the idea of forming a band to explore in the area of drone music. In summer 2016 they started working on the first tracks. Together they try to combine elements of doom, sludge, psychedelic rock and meditation music. The band is looking forward to the next album and keeps you updated with further releases.

The first album is a straight forward two track approach on finding a common path. It's an analogy recording on tape and therefore a raw mix of simple instruments. The minimalistic and easy working process came along good and is represented in the album artwork which separates sky and earth. For the next releases this layout will be a distinctive feature.
The main part is a symbol to the two string instruments primary used in the first release. They are also referring to the aerosphere. This is what keeps mother earth alive. Father sky in the cosmos is a guard and looking at his child – this planet's ecology. Thank you Father Sky for your presence and Mother Earth for your opportunity to grow.

The next phase of Father Sky Mother Earth has begun. With the introduction of our first picture theme, we also gave music a new image; A more vivid and colourful one than on the debut album.

The soundscape is natural but gives the listener a hard and unsettling embrace of psychedelic heart-hitting drones. Its nuances resonate in the mountain scenery that holds us as their residents. These sheep – as a metaphor to this – live here from generations on and try to survive in a stone-cold exile.
We are all waiting for The Return of Alhazred to weigh our souls. When we meet face-to-face stories will be told as we're floating Across the River of Time.
