About Rumble Young Man Rumble

Rumble Young Man Rumble (RYMR) is an instrumental Post-Rock band based in Denver, Colorado.

Born in the Fall of 2015, RYMR’s journey began when Rob and Bob joined forces to create instrumental rock and roll. Adding drums to the band’s sound, Chris joined in January of 2016, and Eric followed in August on the bass. RYMR explores unique and expansive sounds, seamlessly blending their effects pedals’ other-worldy tones, along with conventional guitar and bass sounds to create huge soundscapes. Ranging from mellow and melodic, to distorted and chunky, RYMR’s music incorporates boundary-pushing song structures, odd time signatures, and ambient breakdowns, all the while remaining accessible.

RYMR released their freshman offering, Siren and the Moon, in January of 2017. Siren takes the listener on a musical journey into space--and beyond--with songs such as Cosmonaut, Echo of Olympus, and Stellar Collision. With the band’s completely DIY approach to recording, mixing, and mastering the album, Siren showcases RYMR in its earliest form. But before Siren was even complete, RYMR had already begun formulating and writing their next body of work.

Now, in July of 2019, Rumble Young Man Rumble presents: Absolute

A single concept separated into three albums, each movement tells a story of humanity. A virus. An epidemic. Transmission’s ambient introduction eases the listener into the story of the virus’s origins, ultimately culminating in The Host, which ties Transmission to its successor. Desolate reels the listener deeper into the story. Fireflies of North Brother’s melodic beginning gives way to skull-crushing riffs and heavy, distorted guitars. Desolate’s finale, Mother Nature is a Serial Killer, concludes with a hypnotic synth vamp, reminding listeners that man must first understand the disease before he seeks a cure. The Way It Always Was opens Rebirth with a singular guitar: a moment of reflection upon the chaos and uncertainty. The entire band then erupts from the calm, soon exploding into Blood For Mercy. The sonic contortions of How Ruthless We Can Be remind listeners that healing cannot occur without loss. Finally, To Dust We Shall Return marks the end of the listener’s journey with the promise of rebirth.

Although Absolute was meticulously recorded, mixed, and mastered, RYMR’s live performances are unparalleled in showcasing the band’s raw energy and versatility. RYMR is passionate about sharing their music with the world! Come check them out at their next live performance and support the local Denver music scene!
