ALEX PICCINI

Alex Piccini was born near Venice, a city that has strong Techno and House influences due to the fact that important clubs such as Go- Bang, Movida and Muretto have been near by. These clubs have made history as they played a key role in the introduction of this specific sound in Italy. As Alex grew up listening to Electronic music, he became passionate for the scene and led him to become a DJ. At the age of 16 he bought his first turntables and after only two years he was already known by becoming resident DJ in one of the most important parties in the region called "Sushi". There, he had the opportunity to play along with national as well as international DJs who brought house music to Italy such as LeoMas, Ricky Montanari, Flavio Vecchi, Ralf, Massimino, Angels of love, Kenny Carpenter, Tony Humphries, Satoshi Tomiee and Francois Kevorkian amongst others. In 2004 he moved to Milan where he began his career as a producer and in a short period of time he played in clubs such as Magazzini Generali, 65 Metri Quadrati and Codice a barre. In 2007 he had his first release on "Kaufe Musik" called "Miniale". This single climbed into the first places in many top 10 European charts, it was played by international DJs and this gave him the opportunity to be well-known in the industry and play in cities like NYC , Miami , London , Ibiza , Berlin , Frankfurt , Rome among others. In 2008 he became resident DJ of the most important event on the North East of Italy called "Altavoz" and he had the pleasure of playing with artists such as Octave One , Martin Buttrich , Tini , Guti , Nina kravitz , Technasia , Shinedoe , Carl Craig , Ben Ufo , 2000andone and many many other! In 2009, back in Venice, Alex set up a recording studio where he developed many ideas and produced some killer tracks that have been played and supported from many international DJs including Carl Cox , Loco Dice , Marco Carola ,Richie Hawtin , Reboot , Marc Antona among others. He released on labels such as AREA REMOTE, BITTEN , SAVED and CECILLE.
