The Bronx

A brilliant evening. I'd never seen them (or even heard of them) but I chanced it and was NOT disappointed. At 70 years old, I bet I was the oldest there and although I got pogo'd a few times in the back, resulting me spread eagled a few times in front of Matt, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I hope they're back soon.

It must have been about the 4th time I've seen The Bronx live and they've never let me down once. High energy as always, just a rockin' time (even on a Sunday) Also, The Metro is one of my favourite venues to see bands and they did the job again.

I doubt there’s ever been a bad Bronx show but getting to see them in a 90 cap venue at this stage in their career was an experience I never considered as a possibility. Absolutely shattered my high expectations and will go down as not only the best Bronx show I’ve seen, but maybe the best SHOW period. Can’t believe I got to be there!

THE BEST HARDCORE BAND LIVE seeing the Bronx for me is like being woken up from a slumber, they are my medication they rock they are the greatest, the guitarist solo is brilliant, Matt lead singer makes a great front man, funny, positive, he makes the whole room come alive. I feel so happy when leave after a Bronx gig, i might have the worst day but if i go to a bronx gig it becomes the best day. i love them, the whole band are the greatest, i hope they come back soon they rock my world the are the coolest they know how to make a room come alive. I have seen so many bands and these guys are my favourite.

The Bronx were great (as were The Riverboat Gamblers who performed after them). I truly don't think this was the right venue for them. It seemed like the majority of the crowd did not know how to experience nor appreciate punk rock music. A lot of finely groomed people wearing designer tags and too much cologne/perfume. The kind of elegant who can probably afford to do coke. Matt did his best to get them moving, but they resisted and were offended by those who actually felt the vibe being put out by the music. Summary: Bronx = pinnacle LA punk; Gamblers = perfect NY punk; HOB-Dallas = not an appropriate scene

"Halloween Punk Night" at Mohawk was everything it should have been. The bands, the crowd, the venue... Perfection! The line-up was great and effectively built-up the intensity throughout the night leading up to The Bronx. Knuckle-puck was a late add as a "co-headliner", and this turned out to be an excellent choice. They're still a high-energy band, but definitely a different feel than LA punk. If the show had transitioned from the intensity of Drug Church directly into the no-holds-barred performance by The Bronx, complete mayhem may have ensued. From heavy, intricate guitars to driving, complex rhythm (Joey Castillo was the hardest working man at the venue that night!) to Matt Caughthran's powerful persona and ability to orchestrate a crowd like his own army of fiendish Halloween demons, The Bronx were the top-tier closer to an incredible evening of punk. The excitement of these great performances will take a while to even begin to dull.

The Bronx are always beyond impressive. The Chats were awesome! All bands rocked it. Soooo good! Great stage presence from the bands and crowd participation was great too.

The Bronx were awesome and put on a high energy show. It was great to be listening to live music again and what a band to start back with.

The Observatory is not my favorite venue, but the sound on this night was perfect and The Bronx were nails!! So much amazing music and possibly even better presence! The Bronx made me appreciate the Observatory.

I love these guys! Matt is amazing to hear and all the guys in the band are just so good and fit together the way a band should. I’ll follow them anywhere. Alex’s was easy. Such a great club to see this band! And somehow the walls stood after the show!

Absolutely amazing! One of the most amazing live shows I have seen. Love the crowd interaction and can not wait to see them again!

Stellar performance as always. Only complaint would be to get a longer set. Time for a headline tour fellas?

The sound was awesome. They did a great job of pumping up the crowd for Bouncing Souls. I liked when Matt mentioned during there set to get fired up like a show at The Casbah.

I wasn’t expecting to walk into the place at 1015 and the souls were over half done with their set

You guys brought a killer show!!! Seeing you part of it all and not just on stage was for sure a great experience!!!

The Bronx’s set was too short. To be expected as they weren’t the headliner. Great energy as always though.

Fuckn unreal. In a post BDO & soundwave society we are lucky to have a quality band keep coming back west🤘

The Bronx rocked Mississippi Studios! They had the stantions removed so Matt could perform both on the stage and in the pit. How he was able to hold on to the mic and keep it plugged in amazed me.

Amazing show by the Bronx! Matt spent the majority of the set in the crowd, slamming and singing while the band kept to the stage. The picture shows the ceremonial face off with the new Bronx pucks.

First time ever seeing The Bronx, and it was a night to remember! All the other bands that opened up for them were great as well. Words can't describe the badassery that The Bronx brought to the Grog Shop other than sweaty adrenalized bliss
