About Ally Lubera

Ally Lubera is an Americana songwriter and musician from Chicago, Illinois. At twenty years old, she has jumped into the world of music with both feet as a student, creator, entertainer and educator.

Ally cut her teeth in the rock and blues scene of the Chicago suburbs, where she joined her first band, “Trance” at the age of 12. Growing from a preteen garage band to a local favorite, Trance was the youngest band to ever win the Illinois Teen Battle of the Bands State Championships. Other noteworthy appearances include WGN-TV Chicago, at the Chicago Blues Festival, and at the House of Blues.

Since then, Ally has toured extensively around the United States, playing everywhere from Disneyland's Fantasyland Theatre in California to Pittsburgh’s PPG Paints Arena. In 2017, Ally and four other artists were selected to join forces as an opening band for Bon Jovi’s This House Is Not For Sale Tour.

With an ever-growing resume, Ally has worked collaboratively with GRAMMY and Academy Award-winning writer, Luis Resto (Eminem, "Lose Yourself"), and received mentorship from high-profile artists such as GRAMMY-winner Chris Eldridge (The Punch Brothers), Aoife O'Donovan (I’m With Her, Crooked Still), Julian Lage and Carmen Bradford (Count Basie Orchestra). She has been recognized by the National YoungArts Foundation (winner, singer/songwriter category) and The Recording Academy (songwriting selectee, Grammy Camp Nashville).

As a graduate of Michigan’s Interlochen Arts Academy, and a current music student at Nashville’s Belmont University, Ally is passionate about paying it forward through music education. She is currently working with Nashville-based nonprofit, Carpenter’s Square, to develop music programs in underserved urban areas. Their first endeavor, The Grace Notes Music Program, was launched in 2019. Grace Notes provides free lessons, classes and choral opportunities for students in Nashville’s fastest growing immigrant and refugee community. Additionally, Ally works as a staff member for Interlochen’s summer songwriting program.

Currently residing in Nashville, Ally performs as a solo artist, as well as with the Ally Lubera Band, her folk trio, Erabellas (www.erabellas.com) and the Belmont University Bluegrass Ensemble. She’s played some of Nashville’s top venues, such as the Bluebird Café and the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Ford Theatre. Ally is writing and recording her debut EP, with a release date set for early 2020. Stay tuned for new releases coming your way!
