Another great gig from Fred's House. The nice thing about small venues like this is that you can enjoy the good music then go up and meet the band members afterwards. Nice to hear lots of their album tracks live, and also a great version of Tiny Dancer. Vikki is a singer with a great voice, and entertained us with the history of some of the songs. Prue's violin melds in with the rest of the instruments and her backing vocals are fabulous; indeed the harmonising by the whole band is up there with Crosby, Stills and Nash. They all seemed to be enjoying themselves on stage, with drummer Paul smiling away throughout both sets whilst he added some nice little fills They're all accomplished musicians, reminiscent of the Stevie Nicks era Fleetwood Mac. Watching and listening to them was a great way to spend an evening.

great set from Fred's House - their second show in less than 5 hours. Bonus of being after dark, so light show made it even better, outside lightshows always better than those indoors. Excelent setup and managed small festival in garden of the pub.

About Fred's House

“Exceptional debut album... a band capable of scaling considerable heights.” **** R2 Magazine “Harmonies soar like a nightingale recalling the very best of Poco and CSN but this music belongs to Fred’s House… terrific!” **** Maverick Magazine Fred’s House are touring the UK in support of their much anticipated second studio album Faultlines, set for release in Spring 2016. The band hailing from Cambridge, mix elements of Folk/Pop, Country, Rock and West Coast with a 70’s retro vibe but presented in a fresh and modern way. The five piece have racked up 400 gigs in the past 5 years and are rapidly gaining a following and reputation for their outstanding live shows across the UK, having scooped two awards at the Annual NMG Awards; 'Best Folk/Roots Band' and 'Audience Choice Award' as voted for by the public. Fred’s House released their debut album Bonnie & Clyde in 2014 to critical acclaim, grabbing 4 and 5 star reviews across the board. With festival performances on the main stage at the Acoustic Festival of Britain and Cambridge Folk Festival under their belt, the band has also supported the likes of Eddi Reader, Ward Thomas and The Shires, received national airplay on BBC 6Music, BBC Radio Wales, live sessions on BBC Introducing and championed by Radio 2 Bob Harris’ when invited to perform for his ‘Under the Apple Tree’ sessions.
