Composetheway

Composetheway is a singer/songwriter project started by Jordyn Davis back in 2013 as a way to express her love for music & connect with others. For the past three years she has been writing a collection of original songs for the release of her debut EP as Composetheway. Composetheway's sound features music of the alternative-soul genre with other musical influences such as indie rock/alt, jazz, and folk.

Jordyn Davis, also known as Composetheway, picked up an upright bass in 2006 at her local middle school, and hasn’t disengaged from music since. Today as a multi-instrumentalist on bass, guitar, piano & vox, she sports a sound that’s as eclectic as it is moving as Composetheway, and is currently in the Jazz Studies & Music Composition Programs at Michigan State University.
