Fruit Bats

Fruit Bats are always amazing. Never left one of their shows without a smile on my face. Opening band wasn’t quite a good fit, and was twice as loud as Fruit Bats. But that’s my only complaint. Fruit Bats sounded incredible and have such a deep catalog of great and danceable songs ranging from psychedelic to country to disco to classic rock, and everything in between. If you haven’t seen them live, you are missing out!

Unbelievable sound and absolutely immaculate vibes. This show was a spiritual experience and right up there in my top five live shows of all time - with Radiohead, Jack White and LCD Soundsystem. Hard to put a finger on Fruit Bats sound but I would say it’s a blend of all things beautiful: indie rock nostalgia and wistfulness with a healthy dose of upbeat grooves. Go see them!

First time to go to a show at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville. This is s very cool venue featuring a full Restaraunt, bowling, sky viewing of the Nash. Sounds Baseball Parks and a music Hall. Also seeing the Fruit Bats for the first time. The lighting and sound was spot on and the bands setlist hit on all cylinders- a little new and a lot of fan favs. Was glad they performed “The Pet Parade”- my favorite song of theirs. Overall an awesome performance to a packed house. I give them a 10 and would see them again.

Only giving this three stars because we got there late and missed most of the show :( Not a knock on the Fruit Bats at all. More of a “me” problem.

Awesome show. First time at the variety playhouse and it was wonderful. Staff was friendly and was able to get drinks fast and easily. Can’t wait to come back

The Fruit Bats were great and played a nice mix of older material and several tunes off of the brand new album. Their opening band, Skyway Man, was also quite good.

Awesome fun, great songs, great musicians! Just wish fruit bats would tour more often!!

The sound man was spot on. Opened with my request of Wild Honey. They made it look easy. They're back!!!!

The band put on a fantastic show!! Can't wait to see them in Baltimore again!

Wonderful show. The band and the other bands that opened were the genuine article. Really nice folks and I had a great time. And I was by myself, too!

honestly one of the best live bands I have seen before My Morning Jacket. I saw them with MMJ back in October. but now that I see them headlining it was amazing. The Casbah was also a great place for them to play. You really get into the music when the band is up close and personal. I also got to meet Eric D Johnson. really nice guy and very very amazing music. If you hesitate to go to a concert at a dive bar I say next next time take the chance. One of the best nights I've had all year long I hope to see them again in San Diego soon along with Kyle.
