About Squint
There are two bands called Squint:
1. squint is an alternative rock band.
Transplants to Louisiana via the icy tundra of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, squint has always been a band focused on gathering experiences to write about. Their incessant touring has consistently interfered with love and helped the band become deadly-accurate portrait artists of broken relationships. Strong as their passion for writing music may be, they are a band ultimately devoted to the live performance.
squint’s record, Tinsel Life (2003), produced by the legendary Ed Stasium (Ramones, Soul Asylum) was the #12 most added record when it made its debut at college radio according to CMJ and immediately entered the CMJ Top 200. Performing over 100 shows a year supporting such acts at The Goo Goo Dolls, Staind, Fall Out Boy, Stone Sour and The Toadies; squint’s live show captured the attention of national television program True Music, who captured squint live and featured them alongside Tantric and Matchbox Twenty. Tinsel Life earned squint a nomination for a 2003 American Music Award even before it was released, and songs from the record have been featured on MTV’s Road Rules and The Real World. Riding success at college radio, Tinsel Life entered the Top 20 on commercial specialty radio charts. Based on squint’s live show – Atlas Microphone Stands has signed on as a sponsor of squint – making squint the first artist in history sponsored by a microphone stand company. squint is also proudly sponsored by AKG Microphones and Jägermeister.
