We are The Roosters… a.k.a. “Da Roostahs” a.k.a. “The Roostafarian Dub Clan”. We play music that we love and are extremely passionate about. We attempt to capture the essence of humanity through words and music. The audio manifestation of human emotion… To many people around the world, the sound of a rooster crow marks the awakening of a glorious and brand new day. A new day in which you can be, create and experience whatever you want. This is a mantra that guides us not only in life, but in our creation of music as well. We are a group of 9 artists that have come together from around the world, with the sole intent of self expression through music, in hopes of connecting, motivating, inspiring and consoling our fellow man. Our music is built upon the foundations of classic reggae, but we aim to seamlessly fuse and transition between different generational styles and genres’; using whichever best conveys the emotion and message behind the song. In turn, creating a sound that is classic yet completely fresh, creative and original. We want to immerse our listeners into a completely visceral and raw experience of the human condition through our music. We have spent years locked in rehearsal studios and on the road, refining yet at the same time expanding our sound through experimentation and pure unfiltered and unjudged creativity. With the release of our 2nd album “Birds of Paradise”, we want to not only help build a bridge between fans of old and new school reggae, but bring reggae into the lives of people that so often dismiss the genre as stale and unimaginative. From start to finish, whether you are listening to our albums or watching our live shows, we will take you on a rollercoaster journey rivaled only by the highs and lows of life.
