Starting out as a solo project by Jake Dixon, The Hiding Magpies turned into a fully fledged band in 2017. After recording the album, the band have since toured the UK and supported the likes of Martin Barre, Hawkwind, Fishermens Friends and many others playing at the Giants of Rock festival, The Great British Folk Festival, GB R&B Festival and many others.
In 2019 they embarked on their biggest UK tour to date - their stops including London, Leicester, Leeds & Liverpool - The Hiding Magpies are riding a wave of upwards momentum performing in front of audiences familiar and audiences new.
Primarily an 'Americana' band but not limiting themselves their 1st album includes nods to genres such as Rock 'n' Roll, Alternative Country & Folk and covers the tender subjects of Love, Loss & Heartache.
Their second album 'Searching For Gold' is released in 2020.
