About The Futurelics
The Futurelics are a new age Funk, Jazz and Soul band formed in 2013, in Oakland, CA. Centered around singer/songwriter/producer duo, Camille Safiya and Xiomara, the multi-disciplined founders of the group. The nostalgic palette they work from is influenced by some of the classic bands of an old, eclectic world. If ever there were a band that embodies the term “afrofuturism” it is The Futurelics. Mixing melodic vocals with fluid and transient sounds, their music is as lush and robust as anything you will hear today.
