About Kryptik

Kryptik's story is one of both loss, and triumph over many road blocks. Growing up as Andrew Foster in North Richland Hills, Texas, Kryptik has always had an unprecedented passion for music and the arts. As a young one he used to bang on pots, pans, counters, tables and… well…. anything he could find. Then one day, in elementary school, a teacher heard his rhythms and suggested music class. In that music class Kryptik found his niche. He went on to become an outstanding student and carried this throughout his middle and high school music career. In high school, Kryptik learned the importance of many music genres, such as classical, hip hop, rock, all of which play an important role in his style today. Through many tough relationships, Kryptik found fuel in his mind to begin writing lyrics, and seeing how his favorite genre was hip hop it was a no brainer. He began as MC Overlywhite, which was very rusty, but soon found a style unlike any other. As he became for comfortable as a “Rapper” his flows and styles began to undertake a transformation, which led him to collaborate and form a group called Wykid Psoul. This group brought out the wickedness of Kryptik’s mind and shed new light on his music career. After a few successful years Kryptik and Durdy decided that Wykid Psoul was not the right thing for them as artists at the moment so they parted ways. This then caused a spark in his mind and he branched out again exploring the solo scene, where he wrote Ky Connection, Ultimate wish, and Fat Kid Shuffle . A lot has been accomplished in his career such as opening up for some HOT national acts, including but not limited to, House Of Pain, Tech N9ne, Big Krizz Kaliko, Twiztid, Blaze Ya Dead Homie, Dj Clay, E-40, Muck Sticky, and Glasses Malone. At these shows Kryptik got mad love from the crowd. Was it his mad skill? Or maybe just the crowd's energy was fueling the fire creating a show worth talking about. Who knows but all in all Kryptik has accomplished so much with even more to come in the future. www.guaranteedfreshent.bandcamp.com www.guaranteedfresh.net www.thisisfreshdfw.com www.reverbnation.com/kryp71k www.soundcloud.com/kryp71k
