About Victor Krummenacher
In his long and illustrious career as a musician, not only as a solo artist, but as a founding member of Camper Van Beethoven (bass, some vocals) Victor Krummenacher has also been the primary vocalist and songwriter for the Monks of Doom and done stints as the bassist for Cracker, amongst other side projects (including Dent, Fifth Business, Electric Chairmen, and others).
His latest release in November 2008 is Patriarch's Blues, recorded in tribute to the passing of the father figures in his life. Prior to that The Cock Crows at Sunrise, released Feb. 20 2007 by MVD Audio and Magnetic Records, is Krummenacher's sixth solo album. The 63-minute disc features 13 narrative songs that sit on a bedrock of gothic-tinged country, swampy blues, Memphis soul and rock.
Other solo albums include 1995's Out in the Heat, 1998's Saint John's Mercy 2000's Bittersweet, 2003's Nocturne and the outtakes collection Sans Soleil all on Magnetic Records.
In his spare time, he is also a graphic designer for Wired Magazine.
