About projectAURA

Project Aura are a Manchester based band formed in 2008. From their inception, the band have been steadily building their sound and playing sold outs gigs including a headline slot at the local new 'Middleton Arena' in which the band gave all profits to the Christie Trust, and a sold out gig at the The Ritz, Manchester. The band were also invited to play infront of 25,000 people for the 'Turning on of the Manchester Christmas Lights'. They were asked to return a year later. 2011 saw the band reach the top 10 out of 30,000 candidates for a place to play at the Benicassim Festival in Spain, alongside the Arctic Monkeys and Kings of Leon. As well as a busy gigging schedule, new songs have also been recorded, with a music video for 'Chance to Shine' being filmed late June. With more gigs spreading out across 2012, the band began to expand on their progressive sound in the studio, cultivating in the release of another music video entitled 'Gone' in the summer. The band announced at New Year 2013, that they were working on their debut E.P entitled 'Echoes E.P' which was self-released 31st March 2013. The track 'Idealist' featured on the Echoes E.P was played on BBC radio in June 2013, followed by two consecutive plays of the track 'Higher' in September 2013. Since then the band has enjoyed airplay from various radio stations including Amazing radio and Free for All.
