About TMTATC

"Live an interesting life", they said, "then write a biography". We're working on it. Here's our life so far in bullet points: · In Summer 2010, wrote 3 songs for a laugh and uploaded them to Myspace (remember those days?) · In Jan 2011, we actually put some effort in to it and published 4 tracks online. · One of the tracks, Knife Lover, was in Amazing Radio's charts for 9 weeks, peaking at number 5 and reaching 75 in the top 100 for the year. This song was also gave us our first Radio 1 airplay and was track of the week on AR's Breakfast Show, Georgie Roger Presents... and This Is Fake DIY. · Our first live show was a headline slot at King Tut's in May 2011. Our second show was at Classic Grand supporting Frankmusik in July 2011 and by August, we were on an 8 date Scottish tour. · Later in August, we were included in all official online T in the Park video blogs. · In October 2011, we played 4 shows in support of a new song 'We Made A Deal Of The Night', which got us our 2nd Radio 1 airplay. · In January 2012, Annual Social Coma was our 3rd track to be played on Radio 1. · In April, we played a 7 date tour in support of our free to download release 'Like Lightbulbs', which gave us our 4th Radio 1 airplay. · 'I Am The Hottest Fire' was released on Monday 23rd July 2012 and saw favourable write ups from The Evening Times, STV & Drowned In Sound amongst many more. · Short run of 6 dates throughout Scotland in July/August in support of the single. · Released '40 Years From Now' as a free download and played 7 dates throughout Scotland in support of this. The single - as well as the remix by Midnight Lion - picked up national and regional radio play throughout the UK along with favourable reviews from national and regional publications, online review sites and blogs. · Now working on the next single release and supporting tour for April 2013, the bands first of 2013. · And here we are! It's very likely we've forgotten some things. Also this was updated on 4th Jan 2013: it'll likely be a year before we remember to update. Classic TMTATC. Facebook wouldn't let us call ourselves 'The Mouse That Ate The Cat'. Thanks, Facebook.
