About AfrotroniX
The Sound of a Future based on ancestral values
Afrotronix's Saharan Electro Blues brings Afrofuturism in urban fashion, dance, social engagement, Electronic music and digital art.
What innovative vision of the future could a Canadian artificial intelligence infused by ancestral wisdom and African algorithms produce?
Afrotronix is the experience of very avant garde electronic sounds mastering and holding space to unleash the soul of african best music performers’s voice, electric guitare, perc and drums. Laboratory for the futur tribe genesis, Afrotronix merges electronic music with African rhythms, giving a new wave to South Africa Amapiano, Haitian konpa, Columbian cumbia, and ultimately connecting people and territories on an electric dancefloor. The results is a show pushing bounderies of Dj, electric blues, afro urban fashion and digital art. Heir and builder of a long sahelian musical tradition, Afrotronix has won several international prizes including best artist at the Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (2022), best African electro (2019) and best African DJ (2018) at the All Africa Music Awards. Driven by Chadian guitarist and Montreal-based producer Caleb Rimtobaye, his collaborations include artists like Baaba Maal, Youssou N’dour, Salatiel, Lorenzo Jovanotti and Mbongwana star Brian Kennedy (Rihanna, Chris Brown). His next album, Future Tribe, create a new stream in Saharan electro showcasing an avant garde image of Africa and Canada. Recognized for these daring musical mixtures and wearing the DOM, the helmet, symbol of an updated ancestral knowledge, Afrotronix is the first Chadian personality to experience international success, becoming at the same time a leading figure in Chadian culture.
