BROTHEL CREEPERS

I Brothel Creepers sono un progetto rock’n'roll di vecchia scuola, suonato con energia e carica coinvolgente. Nascono nel 2009 dalle ceneri dei VivaVoce e scelgono il loro nuovo nome come tributo alle scarpe utilizzate dai rockabilliers e poi dai punk di New York, le blue suede shoes di Carl Perkins.Il repertorio dei Brothel Creepers si può distinguere in due generi: Rock’n'Roll anni Cinquanta (Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis) e Powerbeat anni Sessanta (es: Beatles, Searchers, Monkees).Dopo una prima gavetta di date in Italia, tra Emilia-Romagna, Toscana e Veneto, arriva il momento di fare un salto di qualità. È il 2010 e la band ottiene una data al famoso Cavern Club di Liverpool, per poi partecipare assieme ad altre 70 formazioni internazionali all’annuale Beatle Week festival in giro per diversi locali inglesi, tra Cambridge, Epsom e Londra.• Il loro primo EP, Juvenile Delinquents, è pubblicato per l’etichetta toscana Bao Bello Music. Ma è nel luglio del 2011 che esordiscono con il primo vero album, How to teach you Rock’n'Roll.• In soli due anni partecipano a 70 date in tutta Italia, di nuovo alla Beatle Week inglese, la Beatle Night a Vasquehal in Francia, la Abbey Road On The River in Kentucky (USA) e il Beatle Day di Mons (Belgio). The Brothel Creepers are a project of old school rock’n'roll, played with energy and engaging spirit. Born in 2009 from the ashes of VivaVoce, they choose their new name as a tribute to the shoes used by rockabilliers and then from punk in New York, the blue suede shoes by Carl Perkins.The repertoire of the Brothel Creepers can be distinguished into two branches: the fifties Rock’n'Roll (eg. Elvis Presley, Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis) and Powerbeat from sixties (eg. Beatles, Searchers, Monkees).After the first load of dates in Italy, including Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and Veneto, it’s time to make a further leap.
