Siddhartha Banerjee

His story is as similar as Abhimanyu, because his mother Mrs.Jaya Banerjee who is his first guru was Slide Guitar Player ,because of family responsibilities and good care of childrens it was not possible for her to take it as a profession and may be that musical germs and passion towards this magical instrument pass over in his blood from her. He belongs to a musical family he represent fourth generation in music. Where as his father Mr.Alok Banerjee was a Diplomate but he was very fond of Art and Culture.He was an amature dramatist. His ancestors were not professional musician but they used to do it as a Sadhana,as they have traditional Nishikanteshwar Mahadev Temple in their house in Varanasi, they devote their musical flower to the lotus feet of Shiv and Shiva.
so the journey begins as play. one thing to be mentioned here is that he had a great fantasy and crazyness toward Guitar because when he choose to buy a toy that was always Guitar. So he was surrounded by musical atmosphere and Guitar always. He take this Instrument seriously at the very young age and he started learning from his mother and his elder brother.At the age of 10 his parents send him under the tutelage of Dr.Shibnath Bhattacharya(Slide Guitar Virtuoso), after completing the training from him he send him to his Guru Pt.Narain Das Chakravorty(Senia Gharana).after that he had a priviledge to learn under Pt.Amit Bhattacharya(Senia Maihar Gharana). He is the regular performer of all the prestigious national and International Concerts. He is the reciepent of National Gold Medal, National Institute of Performing Arts(N.I.P.A) Awards and so on................
