Fauvely is the dream-pop project of Chicago-based songwriter, singer and guitarist Sophie Leigh, who settled in the Midwest by way of Savannah, GA. Musical influences include Mazzy Star, Angel Olsen, and Lykke Li.
Fauvely's sound is dreamy, yet driving, with a hint of folk. Delicate vocals shine above hazy guitar to create a delicate, raw texture. The lyrics are honest and often harrowing.
The EP's first single, "Watch Me Overcomplicate This" is streaming now on Bandcamp. A cassette-edition is forthcoming from Midwest Action.
