About Alexandria Corn Music

Alexandria Corn, 23 was born on May 16, 1993, in Upstate New York.

For as long as she can remember, she has been passionate about music. At five, Alexandria started to develop an ear for it - she enjoyed singing and dancing around the kitchen to classic rock with her mother.

Growing up, Alexandria had a growing desire to cultivate her skills. She not only wanted to share her talents within her town, but the world. This desire began to come to fruition when she was 14, where for the first time, she found herself in a recording studio with Bobby Acquaviva of Utica, NY, recording Fergie’s hit song, “Big Girls Don’t Cry." Later, she performed the song at a talent show – she loved the adrenaline rush of performing and let the music completely take her away; she quickly learned that the stage is where she belonged.

Alexandria started taking her singing career more seriously and soon thereafter, began taking vocal lessons with industry experienced coaches – one of which was Nicole Pryor, a recent cast member of The Phantom of the Opera at The Venetian Casino in Las Vegas. At 15 years old, Pryor gave Alexandria the opportunity to study across the country, where she got the chance to perform around Las Vegas with a band called, “The High Rollers”.

As soon as Alexandria turned 16, she jumped for the chance to audition for the hit TV show, American Idol, and didn’t let anything get in the way of a once-in-a-lifetime audition. She and her mother flew from Las Vegas to New Jersey and waited in line for 18 hours – which was all worth it when she was handed a golden ticket by the judges. She was continued onto 3 further rounds, however, her journey with the show ended right before the televised Hollywood round. But the journey doesn't stop here - Shortly after, Alexandria was immediately offered a spot in Himmelstein’s Pop Academy in Hollywood, CA. Here she spent two unforgettable weeks with the industry’s lead decision makers and professionals in vocal technique, stage performance, dance, and song writing. In the end, she wrote and recorded her first original song with Andrew Lane, a pop//R&B record producer and songwriter.

Alexandria also focuses on musical theater, taking vocal lessons and theatre with Alicia Loomis. She starred in productions of “Thoroughly Modern Millie”, “Footloose”, “A Chorus Line”, "AIDA" and many more. She graduated with a Theater Studies Minor at Ithaca College, a leading school in the performance arts.

More recently, Alexandria got the opportunity to travel to Nashville attending the CMA awards. There she met Jillian Farrar (Publisher/Writer). Alexandria and Jillian hit it off immediately and started writing. Together, they wrote Alexandria’s’ newest single “Say It Again” along with writer, A. Helms.

Now living in Los Angeles, CA, Alexandria is focusing on her music career, recording her EP and will be releasing her new music summer 2016.
