Gravel Road Breakdown

Gravel Road Breakdown began with a few friends sitting around swapping stories and playing favorite tunes. Along the way, the band members began to bring song ideas and started collaborating on new music. Eventually these new pieces were shared with friends, and the band developed. GRB is excited to be able to share their music with the world through the release of their first album, When I can Sleep at All.

Gravel Road Breakdown is:

Jim Prothe: Jim (a.k.a. Bo Ring) has been playing guitar for 20+ years. He has strong roots in classic country and blues having played with several bands prior to GRB. With GRB, you'll find Jim playing electric guitar, electric mandolin, bass guitar, and even the dulcimer. Jim also lends his voice for lead and background vocals on several songs, does the studio production work for GRB, and shares his songwriting talents with the group.


Blake Scott: Blake (a.k.a. Biscuit) was raised in a musical family with strong Bluegrass roots. He plays a variety of stringed instruments, but with GRB, his main focus is acoustic guitar and vocals. Blake is also one of our most prolific songwriters. While most of GRB's songs are a collaborative effort, many of the songs originate from ideas or tunes that Blake brings to the table.


Sheri Richardson: Sheri (a.k.a. Sparkles) grew up singing and playing a variety of instruments. Her main focus with GRB is lead vocals and harmonies. She enjoys a variety of types of music from many genres including country and indie rock. Sheri loves to develop harmonies for the songs GRB writes.
