Lozt Mezcal

Lozt Mezcal is an Original project from Mexico City but currently living in Prague Cz with different rhythms and colorful sounds filled with history in Lyrical content and Revolutionary conscience, inspired in real life and love experiences with the intention of promoting expression, art, love, and respect through our music and videos.

We got completely formed in 2016, Lozt Mezcal are Hiadi Guerrero on raps & vocals, Omar on the drums, Eking on the rhythm guitar and Jachú on the bass.

We have a rich history of adventures. One of the main ones is the one that brought us to Europe. In 2003, we decided to move to one of the nicest and coolest beaches in México, so we went to Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca. We got together and started playing at bars, clubs, on the street, at the beach, parties, etc; and almost anywhere we could get the chance to take out our instruments and start making some music. One those nights we met a Festival organizer for Philip Morris Company that liked our music very much (Maroš Topolí) and so he took the chance and sent us invitations to participate in several festivals during the summer of 2003 in Prague, CZ. We did the same thing the next year, in 2004.

But this is where our main history started. We created Lozt Mezcal in a way to tell people in Europe about our roots, that we are proud of being part of such a beautiful and rich culture. We are not a typical Mexican mariachi band but we know how to make people feel our music without stereotypes of the classic Mexican. We are a new generation of musicians with the thirst of exposing our concept, work, and art so more people can listen to our music and vibe with us.

We like to mix Latin, Funk, Hip Hop, Rock, Reggae, and Soul which would probably be the closest idea you can get to what Lozt Mezcal plays. The tracks are included on our first album, made with sounds totally inspired by our influences in life and music; with no samples or previously recorded material. All recorded by us!!!
