Mary Kathleen Burke Music

Born and brought up in Co Derry N Ireland at the height of the troubles .I moved to Scotland when I was 16 years old with dreams of becoming a professional recording artist I have been a musician for many years . I got my first guitar when I was 10 I am self taught. I started writing songs when I was 19 but only released my first one on my debut album in 2008 . I have written many since then and now my own songs have been picked up by a publisher and record label in the USA they have released two of my songs .

I was signed to Greentrax in 2008 when my debut album of contempory and traditional songs "A song in her heart" was released to Worldwide critical acclaim with acceptional reviews and airplay for a debut album.. I released a second album "Sweet is the melody in 2016 and also three singles . I have also recorded an album of my own songs .

I became a radio broadcaster with Celtic Music Radio in Glasgow in April 2008 producing and presenting The Mary K Burke Show which airs every Sun 8pm to 10pm.
