Used to think Baroness was "Mastodon Lite" but seeing them live last night spontaneous but completely in unison they revealed how they are truly one of a kind. One of those shows where you blink and its over because they're impossible to watch without being 100% invested in every second.
Best show I've seen at Webster, in the last couple of years (even amongst
Clutch and Sparta in Austin and Gaslight and Bouncing Souls) and in my top 10 of all time.

What an incredible showcase !
Baroness came through with some absolute heat, exceptional synchronicity, and a very memorable and fun show, overall.
Imperial Triumphant as an opener was a mind-blowing death metal jazz experience, that instantly made me a fan, which set the night off perfectly, with bassist, Steve Blanco entering the crowd mid-performance, alongside lead guitarist/vocalist Zachary Ezrin with led lights to blast the entertainment to new heights, and later paced nicely with a cool down from Steel Mag and some vintage 80’s style rock tunes all there own.
Baroness show gets a 10/10 from me, and will recommend in high regards. Woo !

Wow! One of the best metal performances I've seen! Every band member seems to be at the top of their game right now. John Baizley's energy and enthusiasm is infectious, and those harmonized guitar lines and vocals just slay. Gina Gleason is phenomenal. This was absolutely worth calling in "sick" for.

About Baroness
Grammy-award nominated heavy rock outfit Baroness mark their much-anticipated return with new album, STONE. Their sixth record overall and third released via Abraxan Hymns, STONE finds the Philadelphia-based quartet of John Baizley (guitars/vocals/illustration), Gina Gleason (guitars), Nick Jost (bass), and Sebastian Thomson (drums) streamlining the momentous multi-genre vocabulary of its critically-acclaimed predecessor Gold & Grey (2019). This is still very much Baroness—just refocused for efficiency and rethought as a consequence of stability. STONE’s most prominent tracks, "Last Word,” “Beneath the Rose,” “Shine,” and “Anodyne," reflect thoughtfully, groove deeply, and refract tumult effortlessly. They, of course, rock.
