About The Rabble
A three-piece punk band, based on the Hibiscus Coast of New Zealand, with heavy influences such as Rancid, The Unseen, Dropkick Murphys and The Casualties
Formed by brothers Rupe and Chazz in the tedious summer of 2000 (aged 15 and 14) the 'aptly named' The Rabble wasted no time in getting out of the garage and onto the stage. Seven years and hundreds of live shows later, the band has undergone several line-up changes.
The Rabble have three independent releases to date: the debut long player 'No Clue, No Future' featuring 'Take a Walk' and the Celtic-influenced single 'Carry On.' Followed up closely by the 'This is Our Lives e.p' - an 8 track CD and more recently 'The Battle's Almost Over' with 16 tracks of well-thought out, heartfelt anthems - including the latest single Seeking, the hard and fast ’This World is Dead’ featuring Mark of Boston heavyweights The Unseen and mixing from Jim Siegel @ The Outpost, Massachusetts
#2 The Rabble are also a Canadian psych group from the 60s. According to the "Musica Asida" blog, they "started in high school garage bands (more basement in the Canadian climate) copying the Ventures and Shadows etc, then the Beatles, Stones and Dylan".
