SPLENDID SOUND Splendid Sound to powstały w 2004 r. prężnie działający i wciąż rosnący w siłę wrocławski skład muzycznych zboczeńców. W sład ekipy wchodzą Matys, Szczepan, Kotune i Don Himol - czterech selektorów, zebranych razem by nieść kaganek jamajskiej oświaty w najodleglejsze zakamarki Polski i Europy. Jak przystało na oryginalny jamajski sound nie dają publice ani chwili wytchnienia, a motto ,, Macie Przejebane’’ wydaje się sprawdzać na każdej imprezie. Nie może więc zabraknąć królujących na karaibskich listach przebojów artystów, najnowszych wydawnictw prosto z wyspy, pokaźnej amunicji dubplate’ów jak i prezentującego to wszystko dj’a i hype’mana, który porządnie i bez wyjątków zakrzyczy każdy utwór. Dla wybrednych i głodnych jamajskiego rootsu przygotowali również specjalny segment, we wczesnych godzinach porannych… W pozostałym czasie rządzi i dzieli najbardziej wyszukany DANCEHALL! Poza regularnymi imprezami, Splendid Sound jest znany przede wszystkim z Sound Clashów, czyli muzycznych bitew sound systemów. Debiut clashowy ekipy miał miejsce w 2009 r. podczas Run di Riddim Selekta Clash 2009 w Częstowchowie, gdzie zdobyli swój pierwszy puchar pokonując 27 Pablo, EastWest Sound i Antikings! W 2011r. wygrali pierwszy w Polsce 100% dubplates clash przeciwko Ready 4 War. Splendid jako pierwszy reprezentował Polskę na arenie międzynarodowej. Organizowany przez Supersonic i City Lock Euro Cup Clash 2012 okazał się kolejnym sukcesem – puchar powędrował do Wrocławia, a wśród pokonanych wystarczy wymienić takie ekipy jak B.I.D, G-Spot czy Big Bamboo. Póki co kolekcję trofeów zamyka zdobyty w listopadzie 2012 r. puchar South Clash 2012 otrzymany po pokonaniu Million Vibes ze Szwecji. Przez lata działalności zagrali niezliczoną ilość imprez w Polsce, byli zapraszani do Czech, Norwegii, Austrii, Niemiec i Bułgarii, organizowali imprezy najważniejszych ekip z całej Europy (m.in. Supersonic [DE], Heavy Hammer [IT], Herbalize It [NL], Warrior Sound [DE] czy Kalibandulu [IT]), grali u boku najlepszych wokalistów (m.in.Chuck Fender [JA}, Jah Mason [JA], Perfect [JA], Etana [JA], YT [GB], Deadly Hunta [GB], ], Joey Fever [SWE] czy Zoro [RSA]) i nic nie wskazuje na to by mieli zmniejszyć obroty. ENG: Splendid Sound is probably the maddest Polish sound system to ever hit the stage. Since its establishment in 2004 Kotune, Shchep, Matys and Don Himol have managed to turn their city – Wroclaw [Breslau] – into a real dancehall fortress with an impressive number of supporters. The first regular session held at Droga do Mekki club by Splendid and another local sound system Wroclaw Crew is already considered legendary and featured all major Polish crews and DJs as well as some prominent foreign acts. Nowadays another thursday session is keepin all the reggae heads in town – Tun it Up at LOG:IN club. Remember to check out Tun it Up whenever you're around! Throughout the years they have shared the stage with such well-established acts as YT [GB], Million Stylez [SE], Joey Fever [SE], Warrior Sound [DE], Kalibandulu [IT], Raggabalder Riddim Rebels [NO], Herbalize-IT [NL], Supersonic [DE] or Heavy Hammer [IT] to name just a few; they have played hundreds of shows in Poland and in other European countries as Norway, Austria, Germany Czech Republic and Bulgaria; Splendid is featured in every line-up during summer festivals in Poland. Thanks to two visits to Jamaica they got the chance to learn the sound system craft from the best in the world so what you undoubtedly can expect during their performances is excellent toasting and hyping up while juggling biggest dancehall anthems and wicked dubplates. But even though the most of the music played by Splendid Sound is up-to-di-time dancehall straight from Jamaica they never forget to pay tribute to the foundation. However, Splendid Sound is not only a juggling machine – they're also considered the most notorious soundkillers in Poland. In their first appearance in a soundclash they managed to secure the Run De Riddim Selekta Clash 2009 title and couple of weeks later made it to the final in the most important Polish clash in Poznan. In 2011, after a long spell without a clash they came back on a war path and were crowned the South Clash 2011 Champion defeating long-time competitor Ready 4 War. Year 2012 brought the biggest trophy to Splendid collection as after defeating 5 sounds in Superlock's Euro Cup Clash in Yaam, Berlin, they got their biggest win in their career in the first foreign clash appearance. This was followed with a yet another international win against Million Vibes from Sweden during South Clash 2012 making it the 4th trophy in Splendid collection.
