The Cold Expectations

Formed in Boston in 2016, Cold Expectations took their name from a mash-up of Rolling Stones and Hank Williams tunes. They write personal, emotional songs about love, loss & loneliness in the modern world, borrowing the ragged spirit of post-punk and pairing it with smooth instrumentation, rich harmonies & a loose acoustic feel. Their debut CD Supper Prayers was released in 2017; followed by the pedal-steel driven Icy Stars Up Above in 2018. After a line-up change they shifted gears again, churning out No Panic In My Veins in late 2019, their strongest songs to date. Focused on playing live & writing new material, Cold Expectations are eager to move on from the traditional, rootsy sound and develop a fresh style all their own.
