Monolyth présente son second album, “We've Caught the Sun”, disponible depuis le 3 mars 2023

Le groupe formé en 2006 à Beauvais a rapidement trouvé sa voie en sortant coup sur coup deux démos 3 titres, proposant ainsi un Melodeath dans la veine des standards scandinaves du genre, tels que Soilwork, In Flames, ou encore The Haunted. La composition avance vite, et « Catch the Sun », le premier album, sort en 2007.

Après une brève période d’inactivité et de changement de line-up, pendant laquelle sort un EP 3 titres, la machine se relance. Entre 2013 et 2015, le groupe reprend les concerts, et fait notamment son entrée sur les scènes parisiennes lors de l’édition 2014/2015 du Headbang Contest.

En mai 2015, Monolyth a l’honneur d’assurer la première partie de Gojira au festival des Zicophonies de Clermont !

2016 est l’année qui voit arriver Batt, Tristan et Fafa dans le groupe, et l’année où s’achève la composition des 12 titres qui composent “A Bitter End - A Brave New World”.

Armé de ce sang neuf, le combo assure une dizaine de concerts la même année, dont la première tournée du groupe aux côtés de Blaakyum, No Return, Mors Principium Est et Onslaught.

Les concerts de ce nouveau line-up font parler d’eux, et les dates s’enchaînent en 2017 et 2018 : Le Castel Metal Fest 2 (avec Herrschaft, Deliverance, Doppelganger, etc…), le Bus Palladium avec Wevern, Serenius et Nemost, le MetalAnimals Fest avec When Reasons Collapse et T.A.N.K., la Boule Noire avec Lutèce et ACYL, ou encore une nouvelle tournée, avec les suisses de Deus Ex Machina.

Le clip pour le titre “Betrayed Again” et l’album sont très bien accueillis par les médias spécialisés et le public, et les résultats de la distribution Season of Mist (un tiers des stocks vendus dès le premier mois de lancement) offrent au groupe une visibilité nouvelle et prometteuse.

C’est fort de cet élan et de son nouveau partenariat avec Epic Tour que le groupe entame la phase de booking pour 2019, désireux de propager sa musique à travers la France !

Monolyth est de retour et compte bien marquer les esprits à coups de riffs acérés et de mélodies entêtantes !

Formed in 2006 in Northern France, the band quickly found its way, releasing two 3-title demos of Melodic Death Metal, inspired by Scandinavian highlights such as Soilwork, In Flames or The Haunted.
Writing runs fast, and “Catch the Sun”, the first full-length, is released in 2007. After a short break and line-up changes during which a 3-songs EP is released, the band is back for good. Between 2013 and 2015, Monolyth hits the road again, and enters the Parisian scene thanks to the 2014/2015 season of Headbang Contest.

May 2015, the band gets the privilege to share the stage with the mighty Gojira !
In 2016, Batt, Tristan and Fafa join the band, and Monolyth puts an end to the writing of the 12 songs of “A Bitter End / A Brave New Wrold”.
This brand new line-up plays a dozen live shows this year, and goes on its first tour ever, alongside Blaakyum, No Return, Mors Principium Est and Onslaught.

This new line-up’s performances make the audience enthusiastic, and they play numerous gigs in 2017 and 2018 : Castel Metal Fest 2 (with Herrschaft, Deliverance, Doppelganger, etc…), Bus Palladium with Wevern, Serenius and Nemost, MetalAnimals Fest with When Reasons Collapse and T.A.N.K., La Boule Noire with Lutèce and ACYL, and another tour with their Swiss fellows Deus Ex Machina.

The Music video for the song “Betrayed Again” and the new album get a warm welcome in the specialized press and Metalheads, and the first results of the distribution deal through Season of Mist (a third of the stock sold in the first month after the release) give the band an all new and quite promising visibility.

Strengthened by this new impulse and their brand new partnership with Epic Tour, the band starts working on 2019 booking, stage thirsty and eager to spread their music over the world.

Monolyth is back and willing to leave a trace with powerful riffs and overwhelming melodies.
