About Sovereign Citizen & The Non Prophets
We are a 6 piece band featuring country instruments with rock songwriting and vocals. SC & TNP have been called "cowboy-grunge", "acoustic folk core" and "metal grass".
With the release of their second album Post Apocalyptic Love Songs Vol II in May 2018, the band shares their unique blend of sounds with new audiences including festivals like Freedomfest (Las Vegas), Pig Out in the Park, Spokane Interstate Fair (Spokane) and state fairs around the Northwest.
The message delivered by our music and the lyrics tell a tale of a post apocalyptic world and the rebuilding of social constructs under a new paradigm. Survival, integrity, liberty and true freedom is the message we deliver though our performance.
Our costumes depict dystopian entertainers derived from graphic novel roots with a steampunk influence. Elements of a post modern society and characters steeped in allegory tell a story of survival and resurrection.
Our goal is to entertain on all levels- with audio performance, aesthetics, as well as crowd participation and group activities. There is even a series of novels pertaining to what we do, written by Tracy Lawson. You should check her out! We are moving forward to change perspectives, shed light on new possibilities and bring joy, laughter and self expression to the individuals who come to see our performance. Our ultimate goal is complete entertainment.
