Great concert!! Just amazing talent. It was great to see her dueting with her son, Sidiki. I am looking forward to her London symphony performance on April 16th!! A truly great daughter of Africa. As a fellow African, I couldn't be prouder of her incredible talent and deep love for Africa. Her CDs were very difficult for us to find until we discovered that you could actually buy them through her website, sonajobarteh.com. Now I own her 3 releases!! Great music with deep meaning!

Sona and her team of musicians put on an amazing, memorable, and powerful performance. Sona's personal performance was outstanding. Her messaging was sharp, incredibly well thought-out, relevant, hopeful, and needed. Her work with the Gambia Academy is inspiring (and I encourage anyone who comes across this review to consider looking into her school and maybe donating to it). Her fellow musicians were masters of their craft too, and, as a group, they all played extremely off of each other. We were entranced, moved, motivated, and inspired by their performance. I highly recommend you consider seeing her. I will again, if ever she's in my area. Thank you, Sona!

Phenomenal as always her music and her message feeds the soul

Amazing! A once in a lifetime experience. Her music is so moving, I cried, I felt restored. Perhaps the most powerful concert I’ve ever attended. Venue was beautiful as well.

Phenomenal artist and band that brought beautiful African and Gambian vibes via the Kora instrument to the Bethesda-D.C. area! The concert was amazing!

Fantastic show, great music, great musicians. Loved to be there.

The music was awesome, as expected. Sona performed and entertained the audience nicely. Although the evening was scheduled to last for 2h with no intermediate, we left the Philharmonie after 1.5 h, including the "Extra" Zugabe. As to the acoustics, all instrument came along nicely and clearly, only Sona's voice appeared to be scattered, Not sure if that was a technical problem or my rear seat. All in all, an enjoyable evening. Hope to see her soon around Cologne.

Die Show war klasse und die Musik, besonders die improvisierten Segmente, ausgezeichnet. Leider war der Saal bestuhlt. Für weite Teile war das sehr tanzbare Musik, die in die Beine ging. Da war das Sitzen kaum auszuhalten. Ein Klubatmosphäre, oder eine Umgebung wie neulich bei Fatoumata Diawara in Karlsruhe, wo es am Ende und den Seiten erhöhte Sitzgelegenheiten gab, aber der Raum vor der Bühne frei zugänglich war, hätte mir besser gefallen.
