About Force is Machine
-------------------- Band Biography -------------------- In the summer of 2003 the schematics and construct of a dissimilar noise was portrayed by Stefan St. John in rough 4 track samples and arrangements. As time progressed the sound evolved into a darker substance and harsher material, varying from war ideologies, societies faults and man vs. machines concept. Soon after Force.Is.Machine was built. A few years later Force.Is.Machine finally found and created their own sound after recording a decent amount of material. They caught the eyes of a production company from Ft. Lauderdale, Axis Chemicals. Force.Is.Machine started speaking with them and Axis eventually booked FIM to play their first show at the "Wasteland of Opportunity". A few shows later , Force.Is.Machine was in the studio and started recording the Skumbag! EP. Taking old songs and re-mastering them along with new originals. The Skumbag! EP was released in the summer of 2006 and was followed by a mini-tour, accordingly named "Aural Assault Tour 2k6" with Panzer Division and Axis Chemicals. The tour consisted of exclusive dates around Florida. In 2007 after moving to Orlando, FL Stefan St. John hired Kertis Abersold for production ideas and live keyboards. The two worked hard in the studio while touring the greater part of Florida. Soon after Force.is.Machine's second EP was released. The Eradication EP had six songs and also included a bonus track. In support of the new Eradication EP the two hit the road playing shows through out Florida as well as playing shows on the west coast. In 2008 due to personal reasons Kertis Abersold had moved out of state and as a result Force.is.Machine seemed to be on stand still. In 09'-10' Stefan St. John had teamed up with Jeff Donovan and Steve Bowman to continue the project but no material was finished. As reported from Jeff Donovan and Steve Bowman the new material that was being produced was among Force.is.Machine's best material. The life of the dead is placed in the memory of the living. 03.27.2010 - Stefan St. John (Voytek den Ouden) creator and mastermind of Force.is.Machine passed away in a accident while in Cocoa Beach Florida. No music that wasn't already released will be released after all. Stefan was hard on himself when it came to his music and we wouldn't want to release anything he wasn't ready to release. We apologize about this. We see it before us, we need only to reach for it.
