ZYkR

ZYkR is an electronic collective led by Aseem Suri. Born in New Delhi, India and currently based out of Brooklyn, ZYkR makes music that mixes equal parts glitch and ambient electronic as riff-driven lyric-heavy rock. The live band employs left-field electronic music techniques using triggers, samplers and loopers to create an experience that is as visual as it is aural. While singing about themes ranging from political inaction and paranoia, to addiction and voyeurism, ZYkR borrow from the culture of musique concrete, infusing performances with field recordings, speech samples, poetry and visuals.
