Bywater Call

Bywater Call’s concert at Sanctuary in Maynard, MA, on May 22, 2025, was a fiery performance showcasing the band’s impressive chemistry and musicianship. Lead singer Meghan Parnell delivered her usual powerful, soulful vocals supported by tight grooves and dynamic horn and guitar solos. Despite the band’s energy and skill lighting up the stage, the sound quality at the venue was less than ideal, somewhat detracting from the overall experience

High Cotton Music Hall is a fabulous small venue. This was my first time going there. Will DEFINITELY be back. Bywater Call was absolutely amazing!! Don’t miss their show if they come to a town near you. They won’t be playing the small venues for very long. They are just that good. A very tightly knit group with sort of a Tedeschi Trucks / Blackberry Smoke vibe. And all of the members are excellent performers.

Love this band . They were in fine form . A gem of an outfit that ticks all the boxes. Amazing vocalist Meg Parnell was on fire as well as the guys . Think The Band meets Little Feat meets Motown meets Tedeschi Trucks with a New Orleans flair ! Super Yummy !

Unbelievable show. Bywater Call is one of the best bands you'll see anywhere. Killer vocals, ridiculous musicianship... every band member is first class... and fun to watch. As much fun as it looks like they're having. Can't wait to see them again!

The band was outrageously good. Tons of original songs and one or two covers. One cover of Stephen Stills’ “Live the one your with” brought the house down. The guitarist reminds me a little of Derek Trucks. I could hear a few of Derek style licks.

This was a fantastic event! Bywater Call is a favorite band of ours and the Interval International 30th Anniversary Party weekend was amazing! Meghan and Dave played an acoustic set during the day that was fantastic. Meghan’s voice is top notch while seemingly effortless comes across like an angel along with Dave’s melodic phenomenal guitar prowess made for a fun day! Thanks for coming to Charlotte.

Second time seeing the full 7 piece band from Toronto here in Scotland. Another fantastic night with superbly talented musicians. The songs take on a new life in their live form and each band member gets to shine at some point during the show with a featured moment during a song. The focal point is the amazing vocals of Meghan Parnell. Absolutely wonderful ❤️ Until next time....💯

The band was amped and ready to go . Last of a few week run in the states . Just superb in every facet . Master musicians fronted by vocal stylings of the insanely talented Meghan Parnell . A must see band !

Musicianship was off the charts . This band is genre bending and a force to be reckoned with , Meghan and Dave steer a ship of pure talent into uncharted waters . I defy you to find a better singer than Meghan ! Unparalleled! Love this band !

I have seen this band about 6 times and they keep getting better. I feel very fortunate that the GTA is their home base. With the of their own albums out now, they have no shortage of material to draw on.

Bywater Call was amazing as always. It was a sellout show and it sure looked like everyone had a great time. I am certain the group picked up many new fans in Knoxville. Meg and Dave were very gracious and personable with all who attended. I just hate that it will be a long time before I get to see this fantastic group of musicians in person again.

This was the ultimate intimate venue… like having Meghan, Dave and the entire band in your living room! Every song, every jam, every lyric, every sound was sheer perfection- I cannot wait until our paths cross again!

I try not to miss this band anytime they come to New England. I’ve seen them 3 times in the last year. I’ve turned on so many people to this band because they are one of the best touring bands out there. Last nights show at the Fallout Shelter didn’t disappoint. They played a bunch of new material from their new album and a bunch of older fan favorites. The band was so tight and everyone had a chance to shine with their own solos except for Bruce the drummer. Not sure why though. The other times I’ve seen them, Bruce would lay down some very tasteful jazzy solos. Megan the lead singer as usual sang with such raw emotion, soulfulness and the intensity of a freight train. She is by far the best female vocalist out there. This band is going places ! Can’t wait until I can see them again.

Great performance by a great band. A little disappointed, though, about how many people were smoking at the free out door show. The air quality was definitely not that great!

The best new band that's come onto the scene for me - in years. My best description would be if Bonnie Rait entered music today with a brassy band - this would be it. Loved Bonnie Rait. Loved brassie bands. Hence - these people are more than awesome! (Despite their Canadian background - LOL).

Fantastic group of musicians. My first time seeing the full band (previously Meghan and Dave as a duo opening for Robert Jon and the Wreck) and I was not disappointed

Bywater Call put on a fantastic show! They really responded to the crowd as did the crowd to them. I sure look forward to their next visit to Chattanooga. Hopefully, the next trip will also include Nashville!

I’m so excited and thrilled to have found this band. I had the incredible opportunity to see the Toronto-based Bywater Call at a small performance at The Falcon in Marlboro, their third ever US performance. Each member of this group is immensely talented, and have such a bold, loud sound that filled the venue effortlessly. Their sound can best be described as blues/soul/rock. These guys truly gave it their all, and I’ve been singing their praises to anyone who will listen. I can’t wait to hear what else they have in store for us down the road and look forward to seeing them live again

The best I heard this year! Meghan Parnell and her Band had a very good time at Burglengenfeld instead it was rainy and fresh weather. The band played fabulous abd her female singer was great! They fulfilled wishes from the audience and made this evening unforgetable. Thanks so much, Heinz

We just discovered the Etwell concert series what a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, the band was great, the scenery was wonderful and the hosts were awesome. We’ll be back for more for sure.
